The Central Ohio Balloon Club was established in 1982 for hot air balloon pilots, crew and enthusiasts.

Our purpose is to promote an interest in hot air ballooning, and to encourage an exchange of information among the membership, general public, and other ballooning organizations.

• We aim to increase ballooning related knowledge by conducting continuing education programs and strive to promote safe and responsible ballooning.

• Club representatives also maintain an ongoing relationship with the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) to become aware of changes in both ballooning and overall aviation regulations.

• We strive to promote fellowship among balloonists.

• Our members serve as ambassadors of the ballooning community to raise awareness of the sport and science of hot air ballooning.
